Joe is a seasoned business strategist, entrepreneur, and financial professional with over a decade of experience in helping individuals turn ideas into fully operational businesses, often from the ground up with minimal resources. He is the founder of Bifocal Accounting, a firm built on the mission of providing clear, comprehensive financial solutions to individuals, families, and businesses. Through Bifocal, Joe offers an integrated approach to business development, tax strategy, insurance, and financial planning—empowering clients to achieve long-term financial success.
Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business Management and a minor in Marketing from American Military University, Joe has become a trusted advisor and builder across multiple industries.
Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Joe spent his early years immersed in the vibrant culture of the island before relocating at the age of 12 to Clearwater, Florida. There, he completed his secondary education at I.V.A Christian School and began laying the groundwork for a future dedicated to empowering others through entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Over the past 10 years, Joe has played a pivotal role in launching and structuring several startups, providing end-to-end support—from business planning and entity formation to marketing strategy and operational setup. His hands-on approach and ability to navigate the challenges of limited funding have made him a valuable asset to aspiring entrepreneurs from all walks of life.
Joe is also deeply committed to financial education and support services. He holds certifications in bookkeeping and tax preparation and is a licensed insurance agent specializing in health, accident, and life insurance. This expertise enables him to provide clients with comprehensive strategies that address both their business goals and personal financial security.
Military Service & Advocacy
In addition to his civilian accomplishments, Joe is proudly serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Florida National Guard. His time in the military has been a defining part of his life—instilling values of discipline, leadership, and service that he carries into everything he does. Joe takes immense pride in his military service and remains dedicated to uplifting fellow service members and veterans. His passion for financial education extends especially to this community, where he focuses on helping military personnel and veterans achieve long-term financial success and stability during and after their service.
Personal Life
Outside of his professional and military responsibilities, Joe is a devoted family man and creative spirit. He is the proud father of two beautiful children—a boy and a girl—who are the heart of his world. Joe cherishes his time with them, often taking them to the playground after school or playing soccer together in the backyard. The family is rounded out by two beloved dogs who are just as much a part of the fun.
Joe is also a passionate boxing enthusiast and rarely misses a fight. Whether it’s a high-profile match or an undercard bout, he enjoys analyzing the sport's strategy and energy, which reflects his own disciplined and driven approach to life.
In addition to his love for sports, Joe is a dedicated music producer and has been creating music for over 16 years. Producing music isn’t just a pastime—it’s a vital creative outlet that fuels his passion, sharpens his focus, and balances the analytical side of his work. Being involved in music has shaped the way he approaches problem-solving and innovation across all areas of his career.
On his time off, Joe enjoys exploring his city with his partner. Together, they love hiking, walking, working out, and discovering new places to eat, grab coffee, or simply enjoy the local atmosphere. Whether it’s trying a hidden café or soaking in the vibe of a new neighborhood, Joe values these moments of connection, curiosity, and adventure.
Future Goals
Looking ahead, Joe continues to invest in his personal and professional development. In 2025, he will graduate with his Master’s degree in Business Administration along with a graduate-level certification in Accounting. He is also on track to earn his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), further enhancing his ability to lead complex projects and strategic initiatives. Additionally, Joe will receive his Enrolled Agent (EA) designation—one of the highest credentials issued by the IRS—allowing him to represent clients in audits and other tax-related matters with full authority.
To further expand his financial services and provide clients with a truly holistic path to financial freedom, Joe plans to pursue his FINRA licenses, enabling him to offer investment and securities guidance. Beyond that, Joe has set his sights on law school, where he intends to specialize in corporate and tax law. This next chapter will equip him with the legal expertise necessary to offer full-spectrum financial, legal, and business services.
